During the April 1, 2024 status conference, the Administrative Judge asked if the Agency was able to identify a list of claimants it believed was ready for hearings.  In yet another attempt to delay the process, the Agency indicated that no claimants were ready for hearings and that additional briefing should be done before moving forward.  Our offices strongly objected to any further delays in the process, and the Administrative Judge indicated that she agreed with our position.  

The Administrative Judge also indicated that the EEOC’s selection of claimants for upcoming hearings is well underway.  The Administrative Judge anticipates that the initial batch of notices will be going out in the coming weeks.  These notices will set dates for initial pre-hearing conferences.  We have also learned that the EEOC may have additional Administrative Judges assigned to handle the hearings.  We are hopeful that in the coming months, we will begin to see pre-hearing conferences, hearings on individual claims, and ultimately decisions by the EEOC.  

Please note: the Administrative Judge has not yet indicated the identity of the claimants who will be selected for the initial batch of hearings.
